We loved Maalaea Surf F-2.

We had a wonderful 8 night stay at Maalaea Surf F=2. We only had a couple of things we were not thrilled with. The appliances were old. The stove didn't work too well and the fridge was very noisy. Besides that we loved everything. Beautiful view. Very quite. We thought going in December, it would be full and noisy. We very often had one of the two pools to ourselves and played shuffleboard every day and we never saw anyone else using it. Because the days were so hot, we were worried about sleeping but the air conditioning kept us nice and cool at night. We would reccomend the Maalaea Surf to any of our friends.

Kihei is a wonderful vacation location. Sun, surf, beach and its a quiet area. At times you may have the beach all to yourself. Perfect getaway to relax.

I really enjoyed my stay. The condo was clean, comfortable, and very enjoyable. It is great to be on the beach and have a pool. It is also nice to be centrally located. It is not too far from most of the interesting sites on the island. We enjoyed paddle boarding down the beach about 15 minutes to an easy surf spot. Swimming at the beach was safe and easy. The pool was great. The grounds are clean and well maintained. I will be back for sure!

We have considered this property for years and had difficulty matching dates - but we managed it and were so glad to have done so. Beautiful property with lovely grounds, fabulous beach, and incredible feeling of ahhh. Yes, it does get breezy here. Unit was spacious and very clean, comfortable and had all we could need. The lanai was roomy and felt rather private. Style may not be 'up to date' but the comfort factor is right on and it was spotless. Location is great because it's easy in and out to get to places, yet removed from any traffic to speak of. Service from alii Resorts was, as always, excellent.

We had a wonderful visit, returning once again, to Maalaea Surf Resort in Kihei. This is such a great place for a Hawaiian vacation and the resort is perfect...well kept and immaculate interiors! Many young families were there during our stay and it really is a great place for families, couples ...young and old! We plan to be back again!

The perfect location. Great view from our lanai. Beautiful grounds. Appt was well looked after. Barefoot from lanai to beach... couldn't ask for anything more.

We have just returned from a 10 day holiday and after having read some of the older reviews about this resort, felt compelled to report on our experiences. The spacious grounds and the design of the buildings on the 5 acre site gave us privacy in the midst of a very popular area of Maui. The condo was equipped with every convenience; even beach towels were waiting for us. The cleaning staff visited every 3 days and were very thorough. The large lanai allowed us to either eat out of doors or lie on the lounges. As there was a family above us, there was some noise from floor above but it was not excessive. Overall, the condo was extremely well maintained and scrupulously clean.

Beautifully furnished. Kitchen sorely lacking the amenities. The quality of basic utensils is poor, no proper wine glasses, inadequate number of flatware pieces. Oven shelf tilts outward when pulled out; we were nearly burned with hot grease from roasting chicken.

Location, convenience and comfort.

The ground floor unit was perfect for easy access to the pool, beach and shuffleboard. Friendly atmosphere and social interaction with other units. Did not like barbeque location.
